Wraparound Family Services

The main purpose of this service is to address risk factors to increase the safety of children within their families and communities. Additional objectives include:

a) To assist parents and their children in the Creston area to obtain skills that will reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect and increase the well-being of the children and families served

b) Assist parents and their adolescent children in the Creston area to resolve conflicts and improve their relationships to avoid family breakdown

c) To assist youth in the Creston area to obtain life and independent living skills that will reduce identified risk factors and increase their well-being.

d) To provide therapeutic support and intervention to prevent or reduce the need for MCFD protective intervention and/or more intensive Child and Youth Mental Health counselling intervention.
